New cache to perpetuate shakyjim's hide in this beautiful area.
As his description says, 2.8 miles from parking, with the first 0.8 miles the toughest. After three visits I learned the best way is to take the road west and down the before the rock cliff to pass near cougarox's La Madera Rocks.
Sinage says no motorized vehicles. I think the Forest Service is losing that battle.
Update 11/7/2020: Cache name edited. shakyjim's battle with disease ended on July 28 2020. This was just over three weeks after he contacted me hoping to keep the original alive or to preserve the spot as it was "too good to abandon." He told me he had "just turned 90 and [was] in hospice." Thanks again, Jim.
