Sentiero Orrido dello Slizza - Slizza Canyon - Slizza Schlucht
History: the path through the slizza canyon was build in 1874. It leads over wooden walkways, narrow paths, through a tunnel and a cave until you reach the banks of the river slizza.
After the hand-dug tunnel you also pass the monument of Carl Graf von Arco-Zinneberg which liked the beauty of the canyon so much that he let build the path through the valley which we can still enjoy! After the cave you can reach the river and take a break before you take the steps up to the war memorial.
sadly it is not possible to reactivate the original "slizza canyon" cache. since the gorge is accessible again after a long renovation it is time for a new cache. the path through the breathtaking gorge is always worth a visit!
