Geocache Description:

This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2016 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.

York Church of Christ Chapel. Random coursed sandstone church building with two brick stretcher bond structures on each side. “Christian Chapel 1891” on front gable. The local area was originally known as York. Church opened 29 Mar 1891 as Christian chapel. Known as a Church of Christ by Jul 1891, later used by Baptists. The church closed in 1977 during Uniting. In 1980 the building was purchased by the Maltese Guild of SA, Beverley.

Information engraved on the two foundation stones has been obliterated.  Above the front door is a phone number ABCDEFGH.  Use these numbers to determine the final location of the geocache.
