CHIESA DI SANTA MARIA A CASTIGLIONCHIO
La piccola chiesa di Santa Maria a Castiglionchio sorge entro le mura dell'omonimo Castello e come questo ha origini molto antiche, adesso struttura ricettiva. Si ha notizia di questa chiesetta già in documenti del 1066 dove, insieme a molte chiese del territorio rignanese, si parla di una donazione al monastero delle benedettine di San Pier Maggiore da parte di Gisla vedova di Azzo. Dal XIII secolo la chiesa fu dei proprietari del Castello di Castellonchio, sino a che passò agli Zanchini-Ricasoli. Nel 1436 risulta far parte del piviere di San Lorenzo a Miransù insieme alle altre pievi della zona compresi i monasteri di Santa Maria a Rosano e di Santa Maria a Casignano.

CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA IN CASTIGLIONCHIO
The small church of Santa Maria in Castiglionchio rises within the walls of the homonymous Castle and like this it has very ancient origins. There is news of this church already in documents of 1066 where, together with many churches in the area of Rijeka, there is talk of a donation to the Benedictine monastery of San Pier Maggiore by Gisla widow of Azzo. From the 13th century the church was owned by the Castle of Castellonchio, until it passed to the Zanchini-Ricasoli family. In 1436 it appears to be part of the plover of San Lorenzo in Miransù together with the other parishes in the area including the monasteries of Santa Maria a Rosano and Santa Maria a Casignano.
