Welcome to Scott County Park which offers the best viewpoint of Big Moccasin Gap. This is the only true gap in the one hundred fifty mile Clinch Mountain ridge that spans from Burkes Garden near Tazwell, Virginia all the way to Bean Station, Tennessee. The Great Warriors Path, also know as the Great Wilderness Road that passes through the gap started as buffalo traces and played a crucial role in native hunting, settlers' exploration to the west, war battles, and later on the railroad.
Bring a lunch and enjoy the view at this beautiful hilltop 9-hole golf course. There used to be a swimming pool in the parking lot that was filled with rocks in the '80s. This is a solid car block location and please replace as you found.
