To celebrate 20 years of geocaching I decided to place a new cache next to the mythical "Korrigans' Balcony" cache. Which is the sixth oldest geocaching cache in France still in operation. From here you will have a less beautiful view of the Monts d'Arrée than from the balcony, but you will have a new point of view on this landscape which I find magnificent and you will be able to contemplate the ridge line.
A bit of history on the place. The Monts d'Arrée are an ancient mountain range in Western Brittany, part of the Armorican Massif. Composed of sedimentary and metamorphic rocks dating from the Paleozoic, they marked the boundary of the bishoprics of Cornouaille and Léon. It is also a land of legend, with stories about the korrigans (a legendary creature from Brittany, comparable to the elf. Benevolent or malevolent, as the case may be, he can be extremely generous, but is capable of horrible revenge) who have taken up residence in these mountains and who can play tricks on the walkers who ventured here at late hours. Like stealing your pen, for example, which is so useful for housing a geocache.
The cache is called "diner room" because I imagine them eating here and watching the humans they like to tease.

Pour fêter les 20 ans du géocaching j'ai décidé de placer une nouvelle cache à côté de la cache mythique "Korrigans' Balcony". Qui est la sixème plus veille cache de géocaching en France toujours en fonctionnement. D'ici vous aurrez une moins belle vue sur les Monts d'Arrée qu'au balcon, mais vous aurez un nouveau point de vue sur ce paysage que je trouve magnifique et vous pourrez contempler la ligne de crête.
Un peu d'histoire sur le lieu. Les monts d'Arrée sont un massif montagneux ancien de la Bretagne occidentale faisant partie du massif Armoricain. Composés de roches sédimentaires et métamorphiques datant du Paléozoïque, ils marquaient la limite des évêchés de Cornouaille et de Léon. Il est aussi une terre de légende, avec en autre des histoires sur les korrigans (une créature légendaire de Bretagne, comparable au lutin. Bienveillant ou malveillant, selon les cas, il peut faire preuve d'une extrême générosité, mais est capable d'horribles vengeances.) qui ont élu domicile dans ces montagnes et qui peuvent jouer des tours aux marcheurs qui s'aventuraient ici à des heures tardives. Comme par exemple vous voler votre stylo qui est si utile pour loger une géocache.
La cache s'appelle "diner room" car je les imagine manger ici et observer les humains qu'ils aiment bien taquiné.
