In the mid 1980's, the "Monastery Road" was drastically overhauled. Widened, straightened, and the speed limit increased. The remains of old Route 16 between Bolyston and Monastery are still visible to those that remember it's twisted passage ways. However, time is taking it's toll on whats left. Here's a little series of a dozen caches to show you some of where the road travelled. All caches are small and winter friendly, but accessing a number of them won't be very friendly in the winter.
