First of all, THIS IS ALL ABOUT MISTY, and about you if you accept this challenge.
Misty was an Australian cattle dog with "something else mixed in" that our neighbor said, "I think you will like this dog!" We went to the animal shelter, liked what we saw, and brought her home. She was about 9 months old at the time. She brought our family a lot of joy. For most of her life she was a lean 35 pounds. Misty was a part of our lives for 15 years. She is resting in our pet cemetery now, probably dreaming of her next adventure.
For most of her life, Misty had energy enough for everything. She was a digger for which the shovel was no match. She helped out a bunch in the garden. Misty had a special love for hiking forest trails. She was real keen on retrieving tennis balls. Misty wasn't a lap dog; her love was working. She was good with our two young children. It was fun to watch her unwrap her Christmas presents; bits of wrapping paper flying everywhere. Water was a special delight to this cannine. She would attack it, swim in it, and generally relish it; beaches, lakes, and streams all would suit her fine.
Misty must have had to fend for herself for a period of time before being sent to the animal shelter, because periodically she would disappear for a day or so and come back very sick. This grazing in the neighborhood was a puzzle and made for many a visit to the vet. Most of the time she was right beside your chair just waiting for the next adventure.
So this multicache includes some of the adventures that Misty was especially fond of. You should be able to complete this cache in several hours. It is best to start early to beat the heat. Don't grumble about too much hiking on paths less travelled. Oh, you should bring separate footware for water and mud. I also recommend a good pair of hiking boots and long pants; there's a few star thistles on some of the overgrown paths. There is several field puzzles, but nothing you can't handle; GIYF. Bring water to stay hydrated and stay safe.
In addtition, you must have a good trail sense. At the opening stage you will find coordinates to the trailhead of a new trail that will lead to stage 2. Misty had good trail sense when she was young.
