er wacht nicht nur über den Petling sonder ganz in der Nähe befindet sich ein Mammutbaum der schon über 100 Jahre alt ist. Er wurde von der Forsthochschule Aschaffenburg (1819-1910) gepflanzt die den Strietwald zu Lehr- und Forschungszwecken nutzte.
