Place very near the site of the formet Vanier Scout cabin.
Lots of memories here of my time with this Scout group in the later 70's to late 80's. The field just beyone where this cache sits used to have a cabin and open area that we used for many years.
Sadly some time in the 90's it fell victim to vandalism and was burned to the ground. The cabin was never rebuilt and now even the 1st Vanier Scout Group no longer exists. But the memories on this site live on with anyone that may have visited here.
There are still a couple of privately owned cabins a little further down the trails beyond this location on Freswater Pond.
Parking is available very close to the cache. The road to the cache can be a little rough in spots, not problem to access this one with a truck or SUV. A small car might be a little tricker. Worst case there is another parking area that will give you a short walk (less than 300m) to get ot the cache location.
This cache is a regular sized container, a 500ml PB jar. At the time of placement there was a TB dropped in the cache.
Please replace so that it is out of site of any possible muggles that may wander by.
