Geocache Description:

This cache is NOT located at the posted coordinates (although this would be a good place to park).  It is located on the Reservoir Trails in Middletown.  Do not attempt to search for this cache after sunset. Difficulty rating is for the puzzle portion of the cache - not the hide at the final destination. The rating for the cache itself would be a 2.

WHAT KID DOESN'T LIKE CANDY?

Pfefferminz is the German word for peppermint, A candy with a shortened version of that name has been around since 1927 and the pastel brick shaped candies have been made at the company's headquarters in Orange Connecticut since 1972. The candy was originally a breath mint that was developed in Austria BY Eduard Haas to help people stop smoking. The toy dispenser that is used to serve them was invented in 1948 by Oscar Uxa,  With this invention in place, the candy was repositioned as a fruit flavored treat for children.  The invention has been made in many shapes over the years - can you find when these made their appearence?
