For a period of 6 weeks I had to drive the little man back and forth to school along this road. He was in Year 6 so was invited back as the first cohort into school when the Covid19 restrictions were lifted. I went back and forth over 120 times.
Every time I passed this point driving driving North I would check to see whether my number plate was registered on the Automatic Number Plate Recognition device. It registered only about 25% of the time so became a bit of game to see if it would flash up.
Therefore, I thought this would be a good place for a cache that might interest kids - they can watch the number plates flash up as the cars go by.
The idea of the displays and the cameras associated with them is to reduce crime in the Borough of Redbridge.
