Located approximately 55Km South of Durban, between Winklespruit and Park Rynie, the sea is just over the dune, within walking distance. Closest swimming beach is Scottburgh main beach 3km from Mtunzi Park, close to shopping, restaurants, ect.
Entrance to Mtunzi is hidden from view of the road and golf course, by dense vegetation. Locals have created a parking area of sorts, right on the dune, and blazed a trail through the trees in order to reach it. Vervet monkeys, Porcupine, Dassie, Kingfisher, are some of tge creatures spotted here.
Don't overshoot the parking area, Mtunzi Park is a private complex.
Preferably search during the day, the area plays host to vagrants in the evening.
