The 2020 Fall Campout will be held at the Buckhorn State Park. Established in 1971, Buckhorn includes a 4,500-acre park and wildlife area, a peninsula in the Castle Rock Flowage of the Wisconsin River, and land along the Yellow River--a paradise for water recreationists, hunters, hikers and nature lovers. There are 68 family campsites that can accommodate tents or trailers. Each family site has a picnic table and campfire ring. There are also 50 cart-in/backpacking sites and a group camping area. Other features of the park include a two-level accessible wildlife blind, accessible cabin, accessible fishing pier and waterfowl hunting blinds.
The North Shore Pavilion has been reserved for the event. We will be hosting the event from 5pm to 8pm. We plan on having music and a campfire.
Note that a Wisconsin State Park System vehicle admission sticker is required on all motor vehicles stopping in state parks, forests and recreation areas. Due to COVID-19 pandemic precautions, daily stickers are not currently available and no stickers are being sold onsite. You can purcahse a yearly sticker in advance online. Update: You can now purchase daily passes once again. https://yourpassnow.com/ParkPass/wi
Due to the cancellation of our spring event, our wonderful Wisconsin reviewers have granted a one-time waiver of the restrictions for event stacking for this event and the Fall Picnic scheduled for the following day.
