In Heads Road there is an avenue of oak trees which shelter walkers from the summer heat. There is a plaque which explains some of the early history of Wanganui during the reign of Queen Victoria and the Prince Consort. The trees came from acorns from oak trees planted at Windsor castle.
This is a new cache as the multicache cache has been archived.
