Geocache Description:

MILITARY SERIES – After spending 20 years in the military and retiring in 2000 as a First Sergeant from the Wisconsin Army Reserve National Guard, I decided to create this series and dedicate it to all of the men and women that served before me, with me, after me, serve today and those who will serve in future generations.

Each of the caches in this series is named after a unit, position, rank or other significant event during my military career.

You are searching for an item that is camouflaged to be part of the environment.  While some of these may be an easy find, others may require some creative and critical thinking.  Look at the rating for each cache as they will vary within the series.

When I first entered active duty in 1981 I was issued the old Olive Drab (OD) Green uniforms, aka 'pickle suits', that had been around going back to the Korean War.  While in basic training we were of course taught about camouflage or blending in with your environment.  In 1982, while at my first duty assignment at Fort Carson, Colorado the US Army made the transition to camouflage uniforms with the 'woodland' pattern.  The military has continued with different variations of camouflage from Desert Camo to Digital Camo in different color schemes to help soldiers blend in with their environment.

Uniforms are not the only form of camouflage that is used.  There are radar reflecting camo nets, facepaint, and even sticks and foliage in the uniform and around foxholes all to make everything blend together.

So with that being said, this cache is camouflaged in its own way, to blend in with the environment which is why it has a difficulty of 5.  Once you locate the cache, you may need a TOTT to retrieve the log.  Please return the cache to the proper position so it is camouflaged as found.

Please to not post any clues or hints in your logs.  Photographs with spoilers will be deleted.

Some would call this a P&G and some will complain about the difficulty or that it takes too long.  If you enjoyed the challenge please give it a favorite point!  If you are just looking for quick numbers with easy P&G caches, you may want to skip this one!  Please do not give it a DNF without a good look of at least 30 minutes.

Please return cache to its proper position!

Congratulations to missistar, MissinBuck and kalkranz on the tri-FTF on this Cache Ba$hless weekend!
