I was spending a few days at the lake. Hiking in the mornings and boating in the afternoons. While exploring this area, I noticed a waypoint on my GPS called Amangiri. I didn't know what it was and still don't cause there wasn't really anything here except for this cache now. There is a sign along a paved road that says the same thing. After a little research, I found there is a pretty fancy hotel out here with that name a few miles from here. While I was here I saw a helicopter bring in a guest of the hotel, because that is what people do when they want to get away apparently.
Anyway, I found the place interesting. High clearance 4wd or ATV is advisable due to deep sand in spots. I hope you enjoy the area as much as I did.
