At the posted coordinates, you should look for the gravesite of Navy Electricians Mate 2nd Class Paul Vetter, who served as a submariner during World War II. Life on a submarine during World War II was brutal – the ships were much smaller and crammed with sailors and provisions for up to 75 days. A special thought goes to my grandfather in law, who died during WWII when his submarine was hit by a Japanese torpedo.
