Geocache Description:

On 1st June 1904,the entire Cork to Crosshaven railway was officially opened. By the summer of 1909 11 trains a day ran between the two. Unfortunately with WW1 and the civil unrest the train services were disrupted due to damage and no staff causing the Crosshaven section to close in May 1932.
