Geocache Description:

This cache was inspired by the Tons of Toys cache near New Brunswick. Geocaching kids love lots of little figurines swag, so this one is loaded up with figurines and will be restocked occasionally. It also marks a couple of interesting features. First, it is tucked into the shattered remains of a fallen oak tree. In recent months a lot of oak trees have fallen in this area of Tiger Brook Park. If you continue along the Red Trail to the south you will see another oak tree that just fell across the past last month. The other interesting feature is just downhill from the cache. A portion of the ground there was excavated at some point in the past. I suspect it was used as fill to make the old road bed that runs from the pull off on Cooper Road to the road bed along the Red Trail to the south. At some point a Mr. Tiger used to live in this area, as shown on old maps of Chester (thus the brook and park’s name), but no sign of the old house is visible now. Be sure and visit Toad’s Travel Bug Inn just south of this cache if you have time.
