Buzzard's Gulch Trail System is maintained by the BLM. The following is a description from their website; "it is a "wonderful renewed resource for non-motorized trail users. The landscape is classic canyon country - alternating between rocky and sandy terrain - with elevations ranging from 6,200 to 6,800 feet. Sparse pinyon, juniper, and big sagebrush offer limited opportunities for shade."
There is a tree known as "the metal tree" along the trail where guests have deposited rusting metal items found while adventuring in the area. It is growing into a very interesting sculpture; the perfect place for our third Beatles-themed geocache; Blackbird.
"Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly! All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arrive."
