Have you ever wondered what the difference is between Dead End, No Outlet, or Not a Thru Street (Not a Through Street)?
"No Outlet" is where the road connects to one or more streets that wander around a neighborhood, but to get back out, you have to exit the way you came in.
“Not a Thru Street” or "Not a Through Street" is a dead end -- one street, no cross streets, potentially ending in a cul-de-sac.
“Dead End” is the same as “Not a Thru Street” but is used less frequently for new dead-end streets as “Not a Thru Street” is seen as more informative.
This is not winter friendly due to the snowbanks eliminating a good place to park. In the summer it is a park and grab.
If you don't like easy ones, don't stop here.
I had an idea for this type of series based on seeing the various signs during travels. Thank you to densspot for the Dead End and No Outlet Series in the Rhinelander area (see GC49475) to confirm the idea.
Congratulations to NeenahGeo for the FTF shortly after the cache was published!
