Our granddaughter loves golden retrievers. She's not old enough yet to have a real one, but she has a toy pup she affectionately named "Gracie Gold" (see photo). While strolling the shoreline one afternoon we sat on this bench and she asked if we could plant a geocache. Naturally, I said yes! So, here it is, for all you golden retriever lovers, and grandparents, and grandchildren, and lovers of Pacific Grove ... enjoy the moment. (... and please, if you wouldn't mind, rehide thoroughly with cammo rocks/bark-chips provided -- high muggle area -- Thanks!) Hint: bench/railroad ties/west
NOTE: Harbor seals pup on the beach areas below the cache in the Spring (Mid-March to Mid-May). During those times the City fences the shoreline off to minimize disturbance of the seals. The fencing makes the cache temporarily inaccessible. Feel free to log a virtual find if you'd like and enjoy watching the seals down on the beach. Thanks.
