The River Cache was a geocache hidden in 2004 in the Sacremento River Discovery Center, at the Red Bluff Recreation Area. Unfortunately, in 2020, the US Forest service didn’t renew the lease on the SRDC building. Because of this, the River cache had to be removed. However, I was able to get the geocaches, and decided to rehide them. This is the first of two, find the second one here: River Cache Reboot 2.
I hid this one here because, if you go down the road .1 miles, you’ll find a creek (which doesn’t have a name) that, while hardly a river, is almost as wide as one. At least at this crossing.
Watch out for cows and rattlesnakes.
