UPDATE: 5 JULY 2021 Replace lids tightly please!
I kayaked the river and checked on all the caches. As of today they are all in place and ready to be found. Many containers were missing. I’m not sure if they didn’t survive due to rising river water over the winter and spring. Some containers were wet inside because the lid was not completely tightened on the tube. I wouldn’t think they were muggled, but just to be sure, when you replace the container please don’t leave them hanging so they would be obvious to other people on the water. Thanks.
NOTE: The coordinates for SINAK #6 are different than the original. Look at the description for the new coords.

You will be searching for 4” tubes, hanging in trees, containing a log and a pencil. Please tighten the cap to keep it waterproof. There are no devilish hides, but please replace the tubes so they are not obvious to muggles kayaking on the river. Probably not the best idea to attempt these in the late fall to early spring. Be prepared for a long time on the river in your kayak or canoe. I clocked the distance at 8.5 miles by water. As the crow flies, it’s a little under 5 miles. The river is pretty “snaky”. Pun intended. I would approximate that four + hours would be needed to do all the caches. It’s an easy paddle, but quite low in spots right now. There is parking at both the entrance point and exit. There is an emergency exit from the river at the following coordinates for Clintonville Road. (N 42 36.958 W 074 57.235) You should exit on the east side of the river. You could call someone to come get you at the end of that road, which connects to County Route 33.
If you are so inclined, at the pullout point in Milford you will be within 3-4 miles of three places that make a jumpy plant into a beverage. (Is that vague enough for publication?) Enjoy the show.
Scene 1 - Copperhead
Each of our geocachers has received a puzzle to be solved which gives them the coordinates for the 14 geocaches leading to the sought after priceless treasure known as the “Jewel of the Susquehanna” (JOTS).
Unbeknownst to Mr. Science, the subversive group antica, a group dedicated to stopping all geocaching, has booby-trapped his new series of geocaches along the Susquehanna River, with thousands of snakes, both poisonous and nonpoisonous. Will anyone survive this ordeal and find the elusive JOTS?
First to solve the puzzle and reach the river is the intrepid ScorpReaper. He finds cache #1 easily, but as he replaces the geocache, he is viciously attacked by a group of copperhead snakes. With inhuman speed two butterfly knives appear in his hands and seconds later, numerous pieces of snake float downstream. He rinses off the knives and heads for #2.
