The Mini-Cachers and I had a lot of time on our hands in the Spring of 2020 as we were hunkered down during the COVID-19 pandemic. We spent a lot of time walking/biking the same route, and I/we decided to scope out some places to place some caches, even if they weren’t all super-exciting. That said…we like this one! :) I'm finally getting around to submitting it for publication.
The cache title is the name we gave this spot, which we had always talked about trekking over to see. We waited for the right time (i.e., not after a heavy rain), and lo and behold, we had ourselves a hiding spot.
We’re marking this one as requiring some water work, but if you are hunting after a spell of dry weather, you may be able to make it to GZ with dry feet. But we recommend that you come prepared to do some shallow river walking. Also, you'll have to descend a hill to the get to the river--Watch out for loose or wet leaves.
The cache has some swag for younger finders, a trackable ready to be moved, and room for any items you’d like to leave behind for others. Please let me know if you have any feedback on the difficulty/terrain ratings or the coordinates. Good luck and happy caching!
