Geocache Description:

To obtain the coordinates for this cache you must complete the corresponding Adventure Lab "Historic Everett Walking Tour". A walking tour of historical architecture in downtown Everett.

The Port Gardner peninsula was first inhabited by the Snohomish people who had a winter village near the mouth of the river of the same name. Loggers and homesteaders arrived in the 1860s. The first resident of the area was Dennis Brigham, a carpenter from Worcester, MA who built a cabin on 160 acres along Port Gardner Bay.

The Everett Land Company was formed in 1890 by a consortium of East Coast investors seeking to build a major industrial city. They acquired acreage and chose the name Everett in honor of the son of one of the founders Charles L Colby. The city was incorporated in 1893 shortly after the Great Northern Railway arrived.

Everett today is far from a lumber town transitioning in to aerospace after WWII with Boeing's presence at Paine Field. They remain the cities largest employer along with the U.S. Navy.

Your walk should take less than an hour including the bonus of which the location will be revealed throughout the adventure. ***Edit 10.6.20, many people have mentioned the coords take them to the center of the street. The coords were checked with two phones and a GPS device and averaged among the three. Like with many "concrete canyons" the buildings may be interfering with the coords. This cache is NOT in the middle of the street. Please use your geosenses.

Congratulations to Corvettekent & Cash Finder 6000 for the FTF!
