In the eighteenth year of Guangxu, Qing dynasty (1892), Taipo 7 village office would established Tai Wo town at the opposite Lam tsuen River. It was inconvenient for villagers to travel between the two sides. They had to spend money to cross the river by inter-ferry crossing the river. Tai Hang Village's leader Mr Man proposed to raise funds to build a bridge across the two sides of the strait. It was completed in the 22nd year of Guangxu, Qing dynasty (1896) and named "Kwong Fuk Bridge" by crowdfunding.
