Cache is found in relatively open woods in the Tourne, a Morris County NJ Park. The defining feature of the cache area is extensive rock walls, including one which is more lovingly crafted than the normal abandoned rock wall. We love the rock walls that are scattered around northern New Jersey, because they are basically the only reminder of the earlier use of the land by previous occupants of the area. The walls also remind us of how difficult it must have been to make a life by farming the land here.
The cache container is a hide-a-key and BYOP. No need to move any rocks to reach cache.
The cache is reached by a short walk of a little over a tenth of a mile on a gravelly relatively steep trail. Not that we are recommending it, one could park in the townhome complex which is very close to the cache site and walk to the cache from there, if the walk from the Tourne lot is too physically demanding.
Congratulations to NJ-Trekker on being FTF.
