This Cache is located on a trail that is part of a network of trails around Hogback Mountain. The trail head is located off a small dirt road on the backside of the mountain. There is room to park 1 or 2 vehicles just off the road at the trailhead. There you will see a map, along with some historical information for the area primarily about the Bishop Farm. This trail goes up along a no longer active ski area, along with old stone walls, and some old cellar holes. Along the rim trail (VAST) just watch where you walk, there is an exposed culvert at one point near the Quonset Hut. There's plenty of oportunity to encounter wildlife along the trails as well.
If you're just heading out to grab this cache, it's fairly short, but there's a fair network of trails that you can continue on to make the hike longer, even up to some scenic views from the fire tower on the top of the mountain.
