Geocache Description:

This cache complies with the geocaching policies for Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) properties. Please respect park hours when caching.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Find the images and solve the puzzle to find the final location.

💪This cache is placed in honor of Workout Guy, who was spotted doing pushups, arm hangs, and even some jumprope (with no shoes on) near this location. 🍍

General hints:  All viewpoints and the final cache location are visible from inside Kenilworth Park (bounded by SE 32nd, SE Cora, SE 34th, and SE Holgate). Viewpoint A is at the posted coordinates near the NorthWest corner of the park. If you find each viewpoint in order you will trace a clockwise loop around the park. No two consecutive viewpoints are more than 350 feet apart.

Fun fact: there are four FIVE SIX!! octopuses in this park!! Two are pictured below. One is at the final location, and three are at the location of a different cache in this park. Find all 🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙🐙 for bonus excitement!

A: The first viewpoint is at the posted coordinates. What kind of structure is this octopus attached to?
Fencepost: A=1, Bike rack: A=2, Sign post: A=3, Swingset: A=4

B: When Workout Guy was spotted here on June 14, 2018, he was doing arm-hangs on this structure.
How many different levels of chin-up bars are there here? This number plus 7 = B.

C: From this viewpoint, what is right in front of you?
Tennis courts: C = 3, Playground: C = 4, Open meadow: C = 5, Picnic tables: C = 6.

D: A little to the left of this viewpoint is a big tree with a plaque on it identifying its species. What kind of tree is it?
Pine: D = 0, Oak: D = 1, Sycamore: D = 2, Maple: D = 3.

E: What direction are you facing at this viewpoint?
North: E = 0, South: E = 1, East: E = 2, West: E = 3

F: How many round drilled holes are there in this particular section of wall? This number divided by 5 = F.

G: How many baby swings are there in this section of the playground? This number plus 3 = G.

H: The seat beneath this weird green thing is divided into ‘slices’ like a pizza. How many slices are there? This number plus 2 = H.

I: What is just to the left of this octopus?
Tennis courts: I = 4, Restrooms, I = 5, Wading pool: I = 6, Picnic table: I = 7

J: How many arches are there? This number plus 4 = J.

Cache location (Octopus hunt): For the final coordinates, solve for North 45 AB.CDE, West 122 FG.HIJ. In June 2019, followers of the elusive Workout Guy gathered to celebrate a famous holiday at this location. This octopus is enjoying a peaceful rest in the shade in memory of that holiday. Please use stealth and carefully re-hide the cache after signing the log.

Checksum A through J = 53

Congratulations to VaporRising for FTF, and to gjhimages for being the first to report finding all octopuses in this park on the same day!
