My first upper North Island cache placement in the village of Maungatapere where 4 of our grandchildren live. The twin boys, we'll call the J and K, are fixated upon visits from us as that means 'Treasure'. They have good memories of heading out with Grandad and Grandma and being allowed to swap in and out items of treasure, and get the pleasure that accompanies that. I'm also sure that their Dad stokes up the excitement prior to us arriving and that's all we hear for the first few minutes/hours!
Cache is at the rear of here,
Maungatapere Community Centre
and should be a nice easy find. This Community Centre is outside of the main village but has good parking, a bowling green and signs of previous activities with old maintained stone walls. Cache is a 400ml Systema, with a starter amount of 'treasure' and a log-book in a zip-lock bag. Please BYOP, which I'm sure you will anyway. Please replace so it can't be seen upon approach, thanks.
