To celebrate Harry Potters 40th birthday (31st July 2020), we spent the day (and subsequent days!) crafting this appropriately themed puzzle which we hope you will enjoy hunting and solving as much as we enjoyed making.
We chose the Owlthorpe Heritage and Nature Trail for our cache as this is effectively a cache free area (for the moment!), but is a lovely area to explore. But alas, beware of the many Muggles that may be about!
The cache is not at the published coordinates.
At the published coordinates, you will find a set of 7 potions, each labelled with a set of coordinates. Accompanying the potions is a riddle which will help you identify which of the 7 potions will get you to the final cache. If you mis-solve the riddle and follow incorrect coordinates, you are likely to find a stealthily* hidden log segment which will contain a note indicating that you have mis-solved, and you are of course invited to try to solve again. And if you solve the riddle correctly and follow the correct coordinates, you will be looking for a regular sized container, with log book and swaps.
(Some game piece items that were hidden in woodland were accompanied with bouncey gps signals, so the "incorrect answer" hides have been made in plain site as best I can without inviting a muggling, and shouldn't take much hunting).
