The Daily Prophet is the newspaper based in London, England for British & Irish Wizards. It has an office in Diagon Alley and has been in existence since 1743. They publish both morning and evening editions which can be sent out immediately, typically by owl post --- AND a charm can even edit the news as the day goes on for developing stories! One can pre-pay for a subscription or put payment in a bag on the owl's leg. It is not the only publication in the wizarding world, but definitely the most influential for the area (both with governmental agenda & journalistic integrity issues -- Rita Skeeter anyone?)
