Geocache Description:

To get to the cache turn off Hwy 97N onto Tallus Road, and then take the Caine Creek FSR on the way to Teapot Mountain.

The cache is hidden in a plantation just off the side of the FSR. This area used to be part of the Prince George Forest District Summit Lake Recreation Site, complete with picnic tables, fire rings, outhouses and boat launch. The site was a lakeside grassy meadow with two ball diamonds where the Forest Service hosted many ball tournmanents over the years with neighbouring forest districts.

Unfortunately the site and the structures were vandalized on a regular basis which also spilled over into the neighbouring private cabins. Due to the continual damage the recreation site was deactivated, removing all the campsite structures including the ball diamonds and the area was then replanted.
