Geocache Description:

This Cache is not at the published location, but is a useful place to start.

To find the coordinates for GZ, you will first need to complete the nearby adventure lab, 'Where They Lie'; available on the 'Adventure Lab' smartphone app. The URL to the adventure lab and its QR code is: https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/WhereTheyLie. The QR code is also attached in the image gallery of this listing.

This Adventure will take you to 5 locations, all within the grounds of St John’s Churchyard which is the oldest graveyard in the Australian Capital Territory still in use. Each location will require a question to be answered before you can move to the next location. Each journal entry from each individual lab cache location will provide the answers required to substitute letters A to E.

Once the adventure lab is completed, GZ is located at:

S 35 17.0AB E 149 08.CD(E-A)   where ABCD and E can be determined by completing the statements below.

The first sundial in St John’s Churchyard was originally erected at Camden by Robert Campbell in 180A, and re-erected at St John’s Churchyard by T.M. Shakespeare in 193B.    The second sundial to be erected at St John’s Churchyard was unveiled in 200C.

Richard and Margaret Shumack became the parents of D children, who were all baptised at St. Johns.  The decision to close the Churchyard to further burials except for holders of Exclusive Right of Burial Certificates, was made in 193E .

Congratulations to Toy Hunters on FTF.
