THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE PUBLISHED COORDINATES
To find out where this cache is hidden you have two options - you can complete the 'Historic Wollombi' Adventure Lab (see below), or visit the waypoints listed 'multi-style' to find out the required information. We have had no trouble with internet access whilst here, with solid network connectivity at all locations, geofencing for the AL has been extended in one area where any difficulties might be anticipated.
Wollombi is a small village in the Hunter Valley of NSW, which arose for the most part due to the construction of the Great North Road, a convict-built road connecting Sydney with the Hunter Valley in the early 19th century.
Wollombi's modest modern size is offset by its period sandstone buildings and timber slab constructed cottages and sheds in a narrow valley junction containing Wollombi Brook and Congewai Creek. The preservation of many historic buildings in the small town has developed a thriving tourist industry, and on weekends, parking space in the main street can be hard to find!
So whichever way you prefer, take the walk around the historic main street of Wollombi and enjoy, we've only managed to include a small part of the interesting spots to see in this beautiful little place.
