The story addresses the beginning of James Bond as a secret spy, right after he got his license to kill. After avoiding a terrorist attack at Miami International Airport, Bond takes an interest in Vesper Lynd, an agent of Her Majesty's Treasury, who was assigned to provide him with the monetary funds needed to enter a high-stakes poker tournament organized by Le Chiffre.
