Mt. Montokuc (256m n/v)
Montokuc je najistaknutiji vrh na krajnjem zapadnom ogranku vršnog dijela najšumovitijeg jadranskog otoka Mljeta koji je ujedno i nacionalni park. Oduvijek je predstavljao optimalnu točku osmatranja s koje se vidi gotovo cijeli teritorij Nacionalnog parka. Naime, dežurni vatrogasci su s Montokuca već desetljećima stražarili kako bi na prvi trag požara uzbunili stanovnike i pokrenuli protupožarnu akciju.
No, objekt koji su osamdesetih sami izgradili zamijenjen je sada montažnim paviljonom koji uz primarnu funkciju zaštite vatrogasaca pruža i dodatnu atrakciju i vidikovac za, sve brojnije, aktivne posjetitelje Mljeta. U cijelu priču oko ideje i realizacije umiješao se cijenjeni kolektiv Numen/For Use - koji su inače poznati po svom dizajnu namještaja, instalacijama i scenografiji. No, sada su se upustili u jednu posve drugačiju, vrlo zanimljivu priču.

Montokuc is the most prominent peak on the extreme western branch of the top part of the most forested Adriatic island of Mljet, which is also a national park. It has always been the optimal point of view from which almost the entire territory of the National Park can be seen. Namely, the firefighters on duty from Montokuc have been on guard for decades in order to alert the residents at the first trace of the fire and launch a fire-fighting action.
However, the building they built themselves in the eighties has now been replaced by a prefabricated pavilion which, in addition to the primary function of protecting firefighters, also provides an additional attraction and a lookout point for the growing number of active visitors to Mljet. The esteemed collective Numen / For Use - who are otherwise known for their furniture design, installations and scenography - intervened in the whole story around the idea and realization. But now they are embarking on a completely different, very interesting story.
