There is the square in front of the main gate of Tanao Elementary School in Hekinan City. "Lord grasshopper" was completed in 1989 as the city sculpture planning. “Lord grasshopper” is outdoor sculpture made of the bronze. Please have a good time.

碧南の彫刻のあるまちづくり 第7作(平成元年度)

《とのさまバッタ》棚尾小学校正門前広場

大地を蹴って飛び上がるとのさまバッタをどこまでも追いかけた少年の頃、自然は身近なものであった。 私達は、めっきり自然とのふれあいが少なくなった。ふたたび緑豊かで小鳥、昆虫などと共存出来る環境を取り戻したいものだ。
作品は『2匹のバッタと、それを追いかけようとする子供像』からなる構成とし、近くに小学校があり、子どもにも親しまれるモチーフとした。それらの作品は、なだらかに隆起する芝生の築山の上に配置される。その築山と作品は道を隔てた長富公園の築山に呼応し、全体が一つとなって、彫刻作品のための空間をかたちづくるように意図した。
