CONGRATS TO RS ARIZONA FOR FTF!
This is a good one for the kids, loaded with lots of goodies. You'll walk down a sandy wash for a short distance, so be sure to wear appropriate shoes. Be on the lookout for the normal desert critters. You may encounter muggles on horseback, so be discreet, and have fun!

Enjoy this spooky little story:
Long, long ago, before the East side of Tucson was very populated, we would sometimes ride our horses down the Tanque Verde wash. There was a small wash that lead from the back of our house, right to the Tanque Verde. We weren't allowed to go there if the wash was running heavily, but back in those days - at least part of the wash usually contained just a little bit of softly moving water. On those days, we would look forward to riding our horses in the wash, and we'd have a little picnic. We'd build little primitive boats that we'd allow to meander down the stream. One time, the little boats lead us to what we called the "gnome hut." The hut was made almost exclusively of long, yellowed, desert grass. These thick walls of grass bent over softly to form archways. The strange thing is that the little off shoots or hallways formed a somewhat complicated structure, and it appeared almost overnight. The next time we were there, it was gone. We spoke of it for years, but then the memories faded. I still remember - but I have to admit, I'm a little spooked.
