Geocache Description:


This is a standard magnetic micro cache. Watch out for muggles and please follow the H&F Borough's COVID-19 guidance including direction of travel for pedestrians.

Fulham Broadway is a popular area for locals. Fulham Broadway Underground station was originally called Walham Green when it opened in March 1880 but changed to Fulham Broadway in March 1952.

It is thought the name Fulham is deprived from Fulanhamme which signifies land in river bend "of fowls" or "mud". Another theory is it is named after an Anglo Saxon Cheif named Fulla. 'Ham' is believed to be from 'hamm' meaning bend in the river rather than 'ham' meaning homestead.
