Geocache Description:

Since my brother and I are in scouts, we thought it would be fun to create some caches with a scout theme.
This cache is not trying to promote a specific type of scouting program. Nor am I trying to suggest one ideal or system of programs are better than another (either scouting or otherwise). The location and the container have nothing to do with scouts. So pursue this cache at your own discretion.

Scouting is for both girls and boys. Regardless of what a scout believes, how they self-identify, what their orientation, or even their preferred gender pronoun, or any other aspect of what makes them unique as individuals, one aspect of scouting is an encouragement towards being responsible.

One idea of responsibility within scouts is the Firem'n Chit. This simple training is available to all particpatiants in the scouting program. It trains a scout in safety areas related to carrying fire-lighting devices (matches, lighters, etc.) and use them to build campfires. This is especially good and fun on campouts when you need fire to stay warm and make food.

Sign the logbook which is in a small bison container located at the base of a pole. Parking is available nearby nearby. Good luck and have fun
