[RO] Municipiul Onesti este gazda unuia dintre cele mai frumoase monumente din intreaga lume, statuia inchinata poetului Mihai Eminescu, inaugurata in anul 2000 si realizata de artistul plastic onestean Eremia Costel Grigorescu, care numai dupa un an de la inaugurare, 2001 s-a stins din viata. Sculptura prezintă chipul poetului format de ramurile a doi copaci cu tulpinile adâncite într-un soclu de marmură. Autorul, considerat de unii drept amator iar de alții un artist veleitar, a reușit să interconecteze monumentul cu spațiul și natura înconjurătoare.
[EN] Onesti is the host of one of the most beautiful monuments in the world, the statue dedicated to the poet Mihai Eminescu, inaugurated in 2000 and made by the Honest artist Eremia Costel Grigorescu, who died only a year after its inauguration, 2001. The sculpture shows the face of the poet formed by the branches of two trees with the stems deep in a marble base. The author, considered by some as an amateur and by others a sailing artist, managed to interconnect the monument with the space and the surrounding nature.
