While preparing for a camping trip, I was looking at Google Maps and noticed a curious entry near the campground. "Brooster's Rock" Clicking on the link, I spotted several photos from a rock hill over looking the South Short campground. Cool! We hiked over during the first few days of our visit and enjoyed the great view (and a few blueberries.) I "happened" to have come on the camping trip prepared with a couple of ammo cans, ready to hide. We returned a week later to hide the cache.
The cache is not winter friendly after a good amount of snow has fallen. We hiked up from the South, where I put the trail head waypoint. We did not explore further to the North where the trail would meet the other road, but you are welcome to explore. We set the cache in a bit of a gully, back and away from where most people will stand to enjoy the view.
The attributes indicate that the cache is kid friendly. There are some steep rock faces here, but the cache is well away from those. Otherwise, the walk up is easily managed.
