Geesh! It’s ABOUT time! (A SEMAG Event) Event Cache

This Event was supposed to have occurred in May as a Community Celebration Event, but nature had other things in mind.

Place: Ruth Rhind Nature Trail, North Attleboro, MA.  NOTE:  THIS IS A SUNDAY EVENT

PLEASE READ THIS EVENT DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!

1. OPENING OF THE “TIME WILL TELL, A GEOCACHER’S TIME CAPSULE” (GC7FHF6) VAULT:
   1. We will bring all of the enveloped ‘predictions’ that people have placed into this cache container. 
   2. Those in attendance will be given back their sealed envelope.  If you choose to share the contents with the rest of us, that would be great.
   3. Sealed envelopes of those who are not in attendance will be placed into the Time will Tell container as described below in #4.
2. INTRODUCTION TO THE YEAR 2100 TIMECAPSULE:
   1. Attleboro Geocachers Alliance has been given permission to bury a time capsule.  We will be doing that sometime in the near future, in a location to be announced later.
   2. The time capsule will remain buried until geocaching reaches its 100^th anniversary in the year 2100.
   3. We will be asking you to add to a list of ‘predictions’ that you think will occur between now and then.  That should be a fun and/or interesting list for the future cachers to read!
   4. A group picture will be taken (somehow…with all that distancing that will need to occur) to be placed in the time capsule.
3. DISCOVERING A NEW GEOCOIN BEFORE PLACING IT INTO TIMECAPSULE:
   1. We’ve purchased a new geocoin in the shape of a pyramid on which is inscribed the date that the first geocache was hidden in the United States.
   2. We will activate it for this event and give all attendees the opportunity to ‘discover’ it.
   3. After the event, the geocoin will be placed into the time capsule, where it will remain until the capsule is retrieved in 2100. 
4. INITIATION OF “TIME WILL TELL, A GEOCACHER’S TIME CAPSULE II”:
   1. GC7FHF6 will be archived and a subsequent Time will Tell cache will be activated in concert with the burial of the time capsule.
   2. Parts II, III, IV and so on, will be for a 5-year period.
   3. You will have the opportunity to see the new container, and to enter your prediction for five years in the future. 
   4. You will not be able to earn the smiley for this until it’s been activated and you found the container.
5. WHAT TO BRING:
   1. You and your quest for fun!
   2. A chair for you to sit on.
   3. Your face covering or mask
   4. Your own snack if you choose.
6. OUR SAFETY MATTERS: To that end please be aware of the following due to Covid-19:
   1. We will comply with MA laws governing outside events during the pandemic,
   2. Your temperature will be taken upon arrival.  We’ll be using a digital device to read your forehead,
   3. You must wear a mask or face covering at all times unless drinking or eating,
   4. Social distancing must occur at all times. 
   5. Small groups of 6- 10 are acceptable whether at a table or arranged in a circle as long as social distancing is maintained.
   6. We will be providing access to hand sanitizer.
   7. We will provide snacks.  Snacks will be limited to individual paper bags filled with bag of chips, something sweet, and bottle of water.  If you choose to bring your own snacks, that is allowable.
