Geocache Description:

La boucle du lac ne serai pas sans le pont de Bellerive, officiellement le pont Aristide-Briand, qui est un pont routier en poutres d'acier franchissant la rivière Allier. Il a été construit entre 1930 et 1932, remplaçant le pont de 1870 devenue trop étroit qui lui-même avait remplacé différents ponts successifs détruits par les fortes crues de la rivière. Le pont de Bellerive était, avant la construction en 1963 du pont de l'Europe au nord de la ville, le seul pont de Vichy traversant l'Allier. Il est emprunté quotidiennement par environ 30 000 véhicules.

The loop of the lake will not be without the Bellerive bridge, officially the Aristide-Briand bridge, which is a road bridge made of steel beams crossing the Allier river. It was built between 1930 and 1932, replacing the bridge of 1870 which had become too narrow, which itself had replaced various successive bridges destroyed by the strong floods of the river. Before the construction in 1963 of the Pont de l'Europe to the north of the city, the Bellerive bridge was the only Vichy bridge crossing the Allier. It is used daily by around 30,000 vehicles.
