Welcome to Consecon Pioneer Cemetery - this is a redux of a previous cache that has now been archived.
FRom the original listing:
1855, Abraham Marsh, a pioneer who came to Canada from Vermont; with some of his brothers obtained a land grant for land in Consecon. They established their families here. Although he sold land for the cemetery in 1855 one of the first burials here is actually that of his son Whittier who died in 1819, before the land became a public cemetery.
The stone reads:
Whittier
son of
Abraham and Abigail
marsh
died
Aug 7 1819
age 4 months
The earliest burial appears to be Marry-Anne Wait wife of Alexander Peterson who died June 28 1818, age 28.
