Geocache Description:

The Army of Hope Geocache is located at the Maple Hill Cemetery.  The Cemetery is owned and operated by the City of Fairfield, it was named Maple Hill Cemetery in 1922 and then expended in 1943.   Please visit during the hours of operation 5:00 AM - 9:00 PM.

On the south side of the Cemetery is Veterans Memorial Cemetery, where many soldiers have been buried over the years.

A group of Southern IL Youth got together and decided to place a GeoCache to give hope to the families and loved one that has lost their loved ones over the years.    We have called this the Army Of Hope geocache to remind all that there is always Hope.

This geocache is starting with little pretty rocks and army men.   It's a little Army of hope.

Watch out for poison ivy.
