A few weeks ago I went for a hike in the wonderful Cleland area. I must have lost track of time as darkness was falling rapidly. From our planet Earth I could see Mars on the horizon and even saw Jupiter rising.
I remember walking past a quarry and stopped to inspect the rocks. At one stage I thought to have found some topaz but it turned our to be quartz and some more quartz.
I do remember seeing lots of animals. Some I enjoyed like the goat that was obviously lost, some I did not enjoy like the fat rat that jumped out and some were just a figment of my imagination as I was sure I spotted a tiger.
As darkness fell I was getting a little concerned for my safety. I know this area has scorpions and even some crabs and the rumour has it there is a wild ram roaming about.
Luckily I needn’t have feared as no nasty incidents occurred. I did enjoy the flora in the area though. With spring in the air I could smell the wonderful aromas of the grevillia and bottle brush and enjoyed an early flowering Bluebell.
After all those adventures I decided to leave a cache in the area. It is just off a track very few people traverse and there are some really nice geological features here as well.
Can you find out where that is?
